The Director, Biotechnology Centre, Prof. Okanlawon Onagbesan addressing Biotechnologists during the ‘Short Course in Practical Biotechnology’ held recently.

The Director, Biotechnology Centre, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Professor Okanlawon Onagbesan, has tasked Biotechnologists not to relent in their quest for knowledge acquisition.

He made this known during the Opening Ceremony of the Short Course in Practical Biotechnology, held recently at the Biotechnology Centre of the University.

Professor Onagbesan implored participants to keep learning as Biotechnology is dynamic, when he said, “What you do today may not be good enough for tomorrow”.

Speaking on the motive behind organising the course, Professor Onagbesan hinted that it was “to improve plants so as to have abundant yield through DNA manipulation”.

He enjoined participants to take maximum advantage of the programme to better their lots.
