…Hosts Over 200 Picnickers on Easter Monday

If not, you must be missing! Our zoo is now the resort centre of choice in the Rock City. Even visitors from outside the state have found it irresistible. Little wonder that during the last Easter Festivities alone, the zoo was a bee-hive of activities as over Two Hundred guests (both old and young), thronged the Zoological Park for relaxation and sight-seeing.

For a token of Two Hundred Naira (N200.00) only for adults and half the sum for children, guests enjoyed different species of well over two scores of animals. Some of the animals include Crocodiles, Baboons, The African Rock Python, Tortoise, Porcupine, Monkeys and different kinds of birds.

The Director, Zoological Park, Prof. Samuel Onadeko, revealed that the Zoo already had Lions on the growing list and a special Children’s park was in the offing. So, this weekend and thereafter, you need not wonder where you should take the kids or guests to. Just drive down to the Zoo to unwind!

FUNAAB Zoo, one of the twenty-five (25) uncompleted projects the current administration had been working on since it came on board last year (in dogged determination not to let any inherited project become abandoned), has begun to generate some revenue for the University, especially now that it is open to the public between the hours of 10.00am and 6.00p.m daily . So, what are you waiting for? Spread the news as fast as you can by visiting first!
