With its drive towards attaining the status of a world class institution, the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), is ready to partner the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), in developing its Project Team on Staff Web Portal.

This was disclosed at an interactive session on the project between officials of the University, which included members of staff of the Information and Communication Technology Resources Centre.

FUNAAB is one of the pilot universities in the southwest geo-political zone of the country, earmarked for the Human Resource Management Information System and Staff Web Portal for Nigerian Universities, which is supported by NITDA.

The Deputy Director, Establishment Matters (Senior Staff), Mrs Toyin Dawodu, who represented the Registrar, Mr Mathew Ayoola, at the occasion, disclosed that the project was in a bid to take the University to greater heights.

The Human Resource Management Information System and Staff Web Portal provide for timely and efficient staff-record keeping update and retrieval.

The Acting Head, ICTREC, Dr Olutayo Ajayi, said the project would go a long way at providing solutions to the challenges being experienced on staff and student matters such as official leave, annual promotions, hostel school fees, among others.
