TWO YEAR FOUNDATION SCIENCE PROGRAMME 2012/2013 ADMISSION

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into a non-residential. Two-year Foundation Science Programme of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. The programme is designed to prepare candidates for admission into 200 levels of the degree programmes offered by the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta as listed below:

1. COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURAL MANAGEMENT AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT (COLAMRUD)
Bachelor of Agriculture with options in
(i) Agricultural Economics and Farm Management
(ii) Agricultural Extension and Rural Development
(iv) Agricultural Administration

2. COLLEGE OF ANIMAL SCIENCE AND LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION (COLANIM)
Bachelor of Agriculture with options in:

3. COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (COLENG)

4. COLLEGE OF ENVIROMENTAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT (COLERM)

9. COLLEGE OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES (COLMAS)

Management with options in Entrepreneurial Studies and Business Management

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR FOUNDATION SCIENCE PROGRAMME:
Candidates seeking admission into Foundation Science Programme should normally have credit passes in the following five subjects in West African School Certificate Examination (WAEC), Senior Secondary Schools Certificate (SSCE), National Examination Council (NECO), General Certificate of Education (GCE), its equivalent, English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology or Agricultural Science. Candidates for the Foundation Science Programme must have at least the following qualifications at not more than two sittings. At the end of the programme, candidates will be admitted to 200 levels in various degree courses in FUNAAB provided they satisfy the admission criteria to such courses with respect to the final Cumulative Grade Point Average.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR FOUNDATION MANAGEMENT SCIENCES
Candidates seeking admission into Foundation Management Sciences Programme must have at least the following qualification at not more than two sittings at the General Certificate of Education (GCE) O’level, West Africa School Certificate or Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE) or National Examination Council (NECO). Passes at credit level in at least five (5) subjects, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) subjects (from Commerce, Geography, Financial Accounting and Government). At the end of the programme, candidates will be admitted to 200 levels in various degree courses in the Collage of Management Sciences at the University provided they satisfy the admission criteria to such courses with respect to the final Cumulative Grade Point Average.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:
Application forms could be obtained from Institute for Human Resources Development (INHURD), FUNAAB, Mawuko Village, Abeokuta, on payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N10, 000.00) through the Zenith Bank teller, Isale Igbein Branch, Abeokuta. Sales of application forms close four weeks from the date of this advertisement. After this, late application attracts additional fee.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS
Candidate’s application forms should be returned to Institute for Human Resources Development (INHURD) not later than four weeks after collection. Candidates awaiting May/June 2012 SSCE, NECO results may also apply and submit those results to INHURD office as soon as they are released.
