I am Oluwatobiloba Adabale, a Ph.D. student studying Crop Improvement and Seed Enterprise Programme. The course is offered as a postgraduate discipline in CEADESE, throughout Nigerian Universities. CEADESE programmes collaborated industries with the University. This has exposed me to real farm experience through the Internship programme organised by the Centre. I was posted to FARMVILLE a mechanised Farm in Igbodu, Lagos State, Nigeria. The farm is into tomato and pepper production using hydroponic/aquaponic. The exposure gave me a zeal to be in the farm early to see the plants, ensure things are well operated with quick response to any defect noticed on the plants. I was able to gain practical knowledge; both in farm production activities and management on the farm.
