Folarin, Gbolahan M
PhD,Hydrology and Climate Change option

I am Folarin, Gbolahan M., a PhD student in the Hydrology and Climate Change option at the Centre of Excellence in Agricultural Development and Sustainable Environment (CEADESE), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).

The international nature of this programme has exposed me to broader views on Agricultural Development, global Environmental and Climate change concerns. I have taken courses in French as well as Information Systems and Knowledge Management, among others. High standard research, participation in relevant conferences, field trips and workshops has made the programme even more encouraging and exciting. I greatly appreciate the internship also, which enables us to interact with establishments (in my case the Institute for Agricultural Research and Training (I.A.R.&T.), Ibadan, Nigeria), discover real problems in their interests and conduct demand-driven, case-based researches to solve the problems. Thus, my research will not just be theoretical, ending up on the shelves but will find real-life applications that contribute to human development.
